These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Altoja website (the "Website"), our social media pages, and all purchases of products ("Products") from Altoja, whether made online, in our physical shop (if applicable), or otherwise.
By accessing the Website, placing an order, or purchasing Products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Us Altoja ("we", "us", or "our") is an Australian business specialising in the sale of skincare products and merchandise.

We comply with applicable Australian laws, including regulations under the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) for industrial chemicals in cosmetics, and the
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
2. No Professional Advice Altoja is a general retail business. We do not employ qualified professionals to provide medical, dermatological, or skincare advice. All Product descriptions, information, and materials on our Website or provided to you are
for general informational purposes only. We provide as much detail as possible (including ingredients where applicable) to help you make informed purchasing decisions, but you are responsible for ensuring any Product is suitable for your personal use, skin
type, and circumstances. Always perform a patch test where appropriate and consult a qualified professional for personalised skincare advice or if you have concerns about ingredients or reactions.
We make no therapeutic, medical, or curative claims about our Products unless explicitly permitted under Australian law. Our Products are cosmetics/merchandise only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
3. Orders and Acceptance Placing an order (online or in-store) constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or reject any order for any reason, including errors in pricing, stock unavailability, or suspected fraud. A contract forms
only when we confirm acceptance (e.g., via order confirmation email for online orders). Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. We may change prices without notice, but changes do not affect accepted orders.
4. Payment Payment must be made in full at the time of order (online) or purchase (in-store). We accept payment methods displayed on the Website or in-store. All transactions are secure.
5. Delivery and Shipping (Online Orders) We aim to dispatch orders promptly. Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed. Risk in the Products passes to you upon delivery (or collection for in-store). Title passes upon full payment. We are not
liable for delays caused by carriers, customs (for international orders), or events beyond our reasonable control.
6. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees Our Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Products repaired or replaced if the Products fail to be
of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the ACL that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any wording suggesting otherwise is not intended
to affect your statutory rights.
7. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges
Change of mind: We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind on skincare or hygiene-related Products once opened/sealed broken (for health and safety reasons), except where required under the ACL. Unopened Products may be eligible for return within [e.g., 30 days] of delivery/purchase, subject to our returns policy (check Website for current details). Merchandise returns are assessed case-by-case.
Faulty or non-compliant Products: If a Product fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the ACL, contact us at contact@altoja.com.au with proof of purchase. We will provide a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) as appropriate under the ACL, including reasonable postage costs where applicable. No restocking fees or time limits apply where ACL guarantees are involved.
8. Intellectual Property All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is owned by Altoja or our licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or use it without our written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from your use of the Website or Products (except where caused by our negligence or as required under the ACL).
Our total liability is limited to the price paid for the Product in question.
10. Privacy Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on the Website).
11. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
12. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes apply to future orders; continued use of the Website or purchases constitutes acceptance.
